Pastor Pablo received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit
Pastor Pablo, 46, shared how his commitment to the Lord first, and his commitment to his family were also important. Pastor shared how he felt inadequate in his leadership skills. This gave us an opportunity to talk to him about speaking in tongues, and how this will change everything in his life. After explaining it in great detail, he was ready to receive. As we prayed for him, he began to cry, and with fire upon him. He said, “something came up from my belly” and, “I feel relief, the burden is gone, and the fear is gone”. He shared with a big smile, “I feel that power”. Thank you Jesus you are the baptizer!
Pastor’s wife, Julia shares her heart
Pastor Julia sat down with us and shared all that the church is doing, and their ambition to plant more churches up in the highland. She also shared how important it is to have her husband as a co-pastor, working together, sharing the same passion to serve the Lord; working as a team,to keep planting more churches.
There is much power in a man and woman of God working together, setting aside their pasts and moving into the future. The past does not dictate who they are, their future does!
Lord we ask you to bless this couple and their church. This church has welcomed us with open arms for 3 years now in a row.
62 year-old Venezuelan man healed and filled with the Holy Spirit
Daniel, 62, left his home country of Venezuela and has been living in Peru for three months. He has been experiencing headaches, stomach problems, nervousness, eyesight problems, and was in great concern and fear for his family. We talked with him about the power of the Holy Spirit, and speaking in tongues. He said, “Yes I need that!” After we prayer he began to speak in tongues. We laid hands on him for the physical issues. Daniel said afterwards, “The fear is gone, the headache is gone, and there is no more pain in my stomach. When the Holy Spirit’s power and presence is invited in, fear has to leave! “Perfect love casts out fear”.
Cab driver gives his heart to Jesus
As we were traveling back to “New Jerusalem Church” on a Saturday morning, we had a chance to talk with the taxi driver. He began to share how he was in fear, and had trauma in his life, because of getting robbed the previous week. He asked us for prayer, because he wasn’t handling his daily duties well.
We expressed how we can pray for temporary help for him, but what he needed was permanent protection in his life, for a healthy future. He agreed with us, that he did not want to go at it alone anymore. He committed his life to Jesus! There was a change in his appearance immediately, and peace came over him. Thank you Jesus, for this precious soul coming into your kingdom, and he is no longer alone.
17 year-old boy says God caused his knee problem
Giano Franco, 17, who is a worship leader at the “New Jerusalem Church”. He’s has had a knee problem and was due to go into surgery soon, to have a rod and screws installed. Giano Franco, believed that God had caused problems to teach him something. We explained to him, that God does not torment his children to prove something, and he is not the source of your problem. The devil comes to steal, kill, and to destroy; but Jesus came so that you may have life and have it in abundance. We believe he got corrected about who did this to him! After this, we grew out his legs, and prayed over the knee. Then we had him put his faith into action, doing deep knee bends, stretches, and abnormal movements.
Giano Franco said, “There is no pain, this would have caused great pain before”. This would have been his third surgery. Now he’s saying; “but now, it feels different/better”. In the name of Jesus we curse any false doctrine, any false symptoms now, in Jesus’s name!
Trouble trying to forgive her husband
Ana Maria, 56, shared about her husband; how she feels lonely. All the disappointments, headaches, dizziness, and many heart wounds mounting, because of her husband’s behavior toward her.
She wanted us to pray that her husband would return home and ask for forgiveness. We shared that the real issue is her heart, first. Her forgiveness is not based on what he does or doesn’t do .
Ana Maria was beginning to see that she is only in charge of her heart. She chose to forgive Juan, her husband.
Joyce laid hands on her for all these issues, and many of these things and pains are no longer a part of her. Thank you Jesus!
Taxi driver receives ministry
(good decisions bring God’s favor)
Juan, after riding in his cab on 4 different occasions in 2 days, and being informed that we were at the church, a good conversation unfolded. We shared how it was not a coincidence that he ended up being our cab driver. He agreed that the Lord had planned this.
He asked us to pray for a court case coming up. His ex-wife is seeking for more money than what he is currently paying. Juan has to secretly meet with his daughter, because the mother will not allow them to meet.
Juan is a Christian, but is now living with a woman who he is not married to. We asked him what does God think about your living conditions? We shared how you want God to move on your behalf in the court, but don’t ask me to change some of my bad decisions. We told him that the Lord wants to bless him, but it’s up to Juan to set the stage for that to happen.
Juan, received the word, that he needed to hear from someone. We prayed with him that he will make a good determined decision, which will make a way for a fair judgment, not a corrupt judgment.
Juan agreed with all that was said, and thanked us.
Juan said, “I have to make a decision”.
Face time ministry:
Declaring authority over the demonic
We arrived for our third day of ministry at “New Jerusalem Church”. Pastor Julia was on her iPhone with face time. She was speaking with a family of a church they had planted in the highlands, which was eight hours by automobile. On the phone, were the parents of a 29-year-old son, who was home on leave from the Army. The young man was heavily affected by demons, to the point that he was limp, dysfunctional and not coherent.
Pastor Julia asked me, through the interpreter, to speak to them and to their situation. I spoke to them about their authority in Christ Jesus. I shared with them, how they have authority over their house, because this is their safe haven, and this haven has been given to them by the Lord. I had them get a container of oil, and I showed them how to pray over the oil to sanctify it for; anointing the doorposts and windows in their home.
They went ahead and anointed the doors and windows, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Then, I had them declare that their home is their own private domain given to them by God, and no demonic force is allowed in this sanctuary.
Once they did this, making their declarations, the young man came out of this trance and was fully awake and coherent. That was the most alive he has been since he arrived home. Thank you Jesus, for you gave us authority! Luke 10:19 Behold I give you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will hinder you”.
Young lady set free from guilt and condemnation from being a rape victim by two family members
Jenny, 33, tells of all the guilt and feelings of being worthless. She said she was raped by a 2 male family members, at an early age, she said; “I hated myself”!
Jenny said; “Why is this all coming up in me now, after years of thinking I had forgotten this?”
We shared how the Lord is allowing this, he wants to set you free. It is painful, but with some endurance now you will get your freedom.
After jenny went through a process of forgiving all these people; Joyce laid hands on her and came against all the guilt, condemnation, abandonment, and, the lack of recognizing her value. Jesus sees her as a perfect child, and he sees her of great value to him.
Jenny said, “I feel free, the burdens have lifted and I’m happy”. She also said, “I have never spoken to anyone, about what I have shared today”. We told her that there is no longer a need to keep secrets! Jesus has helped you expose the wicked lies of the devil, that you had been carrying around for years. The Holy Spirit is so thorough!!
Fruit from our last trip to Peru in 2018
Ana says; “Since you prayed for me a year ago, I feel more spiritual, and my trust in the Lord is very good”.
Ana has been battling Parkinsons, and a year ago was embarrassed to be on the worship team at church, because of her shaking. Things are different now! She is now asking us to pray for her, to have more boldness to share her faith. Ana shared that the doctor told me not to use my voice, because of my situation, but instead my voice has gotten strong.
We shared with her; “Don’t judge God’s word, by what you see”, God’s word is perfect, and if he said you are healed then you are healed!
Joyce laid hands on her for more boldness, for all the fear to go, and that she would be enlightened by the Holy Spirit. Thank you Jesus!
Let your yes be yes,
and your no be no
Kimi, 35, shared how her husband, the father of their two children, was having an affair with a satinist, whom had taken possession of her husband. The husband begin to live with this woman and her two children. Kimi has been hurting financially because of the support she needed, which is now being spent on another family. Kimi’s husband would frequent her home, hoping he could get the best of both women.
We instructed Kimi to give him an ultimatum. Either get in 100%, or get out.
We shared with her, she is a Christian, a child of God, and the Lord does not want you or your children to be used or neglected, for the sake of your husband living in darkness with another woman. We also instructed her that; her yes had to be yes, and her no had to be no! Then and only then, will God honor your steps.
Joyce laid hands on her and came against the stress, trauma, gastritis, and that she would now be filled with wisdom and knowledge, knowing how to handle the situation.
Kimi felt relieved and determined to take firm steps to protect her and her children. She said she feels better about herself! Thank you Jesus!
