‘Don’t judge God’s word by what you have not yet seen’
This was a very unique Holy Spirit led trip, with many unexpected blessings that took place, during our 20 day journey in Peru.
We were able to minister to over 115 people personally, one-on-one, many of the sessions lasting an hour or longer.
We ministered in 17 different locations; churches, rehab centers, homes, gatherings, and even in the seat of a cab, while traveling through the city of Lima.
The Lord provided an opportunity for us to speak and minister to over 50 men, at a drug rehab center. Almost all the men were willing to have hands laid on them, to receive a powerful touch by the Holy Spirit.
At pastor Rosa’s church: Pastor Rosa, a very dear friend to us, who always welcomes us with open arms (the past seven years), once again invited us to come, share, and minister to the people of her church. Many people were uniquely touched and healed by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Through the course of the trip, the Lord provided many good teaching moments such as: “God is not the source of your problems”, and there were excellent opportunities to share about: “The believer’s authority”.
We saw several radically baptized in the Holy Spirit, who began speaking in other tongues.
The Lord brought us people, young and old, including cab drivers, to receive salvation through Jesus Christ, along with some that re- committed their lives to the Lord.
Also, we had the opportunity to minister reconciliation to a husband and wife, who were co-pastors in a growing and much needed church in a region of Lima. We believe this church, that has planted satellite churches in the high country, is going to explode because of the love and unity there.
Joyce and I spent one day at: “The school of Tomorrow”, a Christian school run by our dear friends, Elizabeth and Daniel.
The topic of my message to the boys: “Set your goals to serve the Lord”
Joyce spoke to the girls about: “Preparing for life’s challenges”
We saw the Lord healing cancer, stomach problems, back problems, blood pressure issues, vision, and hearing restored; along with pain in various parts of the body. We also saw anxiety being dealt with, along with trauma, unforgiveness issues, fear, and many emotional issues.
We saw the Lord bring peace and freedom to rape victims, and women who have had abortions who had been living in a life of condemnation.
Previous Trip Reports
Two years ago we prayed for a lady who had lost all of her hair, due to the treatment of her battle against Lupus.
We received a report on this trip: the Lupus is gone, her hair is all grown back, she is now in college and doing very well. Thank you Jesus!
We returned to a church where we ministered in 2018.
Several people for whom we had prayed, came to see us and shared what has changed in their life, since our visit. All are doing well, issues that were prevalent then, are now no longer in their lives, such as: physical problems, emotional problems ,fears, concerns, and spiritual issues. It was such a blessing for us to hear, what the Lord has done, and how their lives have changed. Several were freed from depression, and are now healthy and full of joy. Praise the Lord!
Raising up disciples (healing evangelists)
A lady we ministered to a year ago, came back to share her powerful testimony. We gave her a book “Healing the Whole Man” in Spanish. She told us she sat down and read the book from cover to cover, and then went out by faith, starting to lay hands on people. She tells of how a baby was healed of cancer, and how several other people were touched by the healing power of the Holy Spirit.
We gave her another book, telling her to give this to someone she could disciple and train, sharing what she has learned. She said: “I know just who to give it to”.

The “A” Team
We have to acknowledge some special people, our interpreters:
Xenia: Our special friend, who had been very loyal to the ministry, and has been there every year with us. We feel very comfortable with her!
Gabriel: Added a good dimension of information, as we ministered to some of the poverty level people asking for prayer.
Andres: Organizes and makes the personal contacts for our visits. He also interprets every year, keeps a fantastic schedule of where and to whom we would be ministering to. We were blessed to have them all be a part of our team for Peru 2019.
Pastor’s wife forgives herself, freed from condemnation and guilt
Milagres, 43, became a Christian at the age of 15. She conceived a child out of marriage, later losing the child in the 8th month of her pregnancy. This caused her to live in a lot of guilt and condemnation for almost 28 years. This reflected on everything she attempted to do in life, and also, as a pastor’s wife. We shared with her, if she asked God to forgive her, then, you are forgiven. God is not there to hold a scorecard to remind you about your mistakes, if you confessed it to him. We led her in a prayer to forgive herself; to cancel all the regrets, and then for her to receive God’s forgiveness. She was changed with a big smile on her face, and now had peace in her heart. All the guilt she carried, was causing a lot of physical problems in her body. Thank you Jesus!
Husband and wife healed, then baptized in the Holy Spirit and began gloriously speaking in tongues
Jorge and Anjelina, have been married 48 years. Jorge shared how he felt insecure at times, because his wife’s time was consumed by her ailing mother. Jorge had a codependency issue toward his wife. This was causing stress in her life, trying to help 2 people at once, all the time. Jorge was having high blood pressure problems, his wife having pain in her arm, pelvis pain, plus other areas of pain in her body.
We felt led to ask them if they were baptized in Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues. They said, “We have been Christians for 15 years, and no one has explained this to us.” We shared with them about this gift, and they said, “we now understand and want to receive it”. We laid hands on them, prayed for them, and both received in such a powerful way.
Jorge, as he was shaking said, “I felt a strong fire inside me. It felt like screaming and shouting throughout my body. It was beautiful, I want to scream, ‘no more fear’!”. Anjelina said, “He won’t be dependent anymore. I felt the Holy Spirit’s presence, and I couldn’t control things. No fear. Joy now. What a beautiful experience.”
Joyce laid hands on her, grew out her arms, spoke over her shoulders, grew out her legs, and after that she said, “All the pain is gone”.
I laid hands on Jorge, and spoke into the high blood pressure and the kidneys. The power God was there, healing all issues! They both stood there in peace with big smiles. They were praising God for his Holy Spirit.
Why am I having all these problems?
Sara, 46, was a woman of faith. The Lord provided her with a house and children. Through the process of time, she quit going to church, quit reading the Bible, and lost interest in the things of God. She said, “Why am I having all these problems?”
We shared with her how she has pulled away from the Lord by her decisions, and this has brought bad results into her life. The devil wants to steal her faith!
After speaking to her about the fact that the Lord wants her back, and wants to spend that intimate time with her, she repented and recommitted her life to Jesus, asking him to forgive her for her foolish ways.
Joyce laid hands on her for gastritis, cursed any form of stress, then spoke peace and relief into her life. Thank you Jesus for the love you have for the lost sheep!
Pastor of New Jerusalem Church:
“Good things have happened because of your visit here last year”
Pastor Pablo, who along with his wife Julia, pastor a small church called ‘New Jerusalem Church’. He made a point to tell us that he has noticed a change since we were here last year. Our faith has expanded, and the church is different. He said there is more passion now compared to what it was like last year before we came. Thank you Jesus!
