Joyce and I would like to share what a powerful trip to Nicaragua we experience. We were part of a team of eight; which including the powerful preaching of God’s word ,by Pastor Larry Gray. Many healings, intercession; where the Holy Spirit was releasing several into ministry; many were baptized in the Holy Spirit; families were reunited, and unity was birthed amongst the church leaders.
We all had the opportunity to go into some of the homes of church members. We experienced fractured families on more than one occasion. One particular family had a mother and three grown children in their 20’s.There was no father, in fact each was fathered by a separate man. All four of them lived in a small two-room hut (dirt floor and a tin roof) and they were not on speaking terms with their mother. After about two hours of ministry and sharing what God’s word says about their issues; the Holy Spirit broke through. When we left, they were hugging (each other), weeping and asking each other for forgiveness. One of the daughters never called her mother, “mother”, but during this time of forgiveness she cried out, “Mama, forgive me”.
As we entered another home, we noticed a young girl (25 years old), slumped over in a wheelchair. She had been paralyzed from the waist down ,because a doctor that performed surgery on her, pierced her spine. She was in a lot of pain in her stomach area. We’d laid hands on her and prayed for her stomach and spine. She felt instant relief in her stomach, which brought a big smile to her face. We told her that one day she would dance before the Lord. She shared a dream that she was dancing before the Lord. When we left she had a big smile on her face was busy doing her creative artwork. With great joy, she gave Joyce some of her artwork, as a gift, “Thank you Jesus”.
Also, one of the special times, was when Joyce and I were sent over to another church to preach. I shared a message on “We serve a God of signs and wonders”. We shared about some of our experiences from previous trips. Afterwards, I asked if any would want to come forward and have a us pray an impartation over them. As they came up (the entire church of about 50), I also asked if anyone wanted to be baptized in the Holy Spirit? About 35 responded. We prayed for them and they begin to speak in tongues. After that we prayed an impartation of the Holy Spirit’s power into them. The young pastor came up to us afterwards and said, “He has been crying out to God for this and it happened tonight”. Praise you Jesus!
In many of the services, we saw people being healed of: stomach problems, back problems, arm limitations, hearing issues and bone problems. One young girl had 2 bumps on the back of her neck. The Lord healed her and the bumps were gone. One young man could not talk; his voice was gone; he had stomach problems, colon issues and could not eat. We laid hands on him and spoke into those areas. Two days later we ran into him. His voice was back to normal, the pain in his stomach and the colon issues were gone. He was so ecstatic that he could finally eat again. Thank you Jesus!
One of the highlights of the trip, was a little village called Bethel. We went there on a Sunday, it was about a 90 minute drive outside the city, into the mountain range. A very primitive place, but a place that had God’s presence throughout the village. We had the privilege to meet and washed the feet of the missionary; who was the first to come to this region to evangelize the people. The village was now primarily all Christian. We were so blessed, to be able to honor this man and the pastor of the church. After washing their feet, he laid hands on the team. While praying for us, the presence of God became very imminent.
Many miracles took place on this trip, but the salvation of souls is what it’s all about. Our driver Angel, who spent five days with us, sat down for supper with us, after the first day. We had a good chance to talk to him about “eternity”. That night he committed his life to Christ. He said his parents were evangelical Christians. We saw God answering the prayers of those parents, by bringing that one lost sheep that went astray, back to the flock. As we departed, Angel asked us to pray for him, that he would stay strong; and close to the Lord. The joy of the Lord was radiant and his smile.
Who were so blessed to be a part of this team and with what the Lord accomplished on this trip. We value deeply all those who have prayed for us and partnered with us on this trip. The harvest from this trip will be accredited to your account, also. We believe that many were set free through revelation of God’s word, many healings, salvation’s, many baptized in the Holy Spirit and many delivered from demonic oppression. Thank you Jesus!
Thank you for your support and your prayers. You were a valued partner in this trip.
Blessings to you and your family!
